Kentucky State Police – Shop with a Trooper

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 6 conducts a “Shop with a Trooper” event every December. Post 6 works with the Family Resource Departments in its 10 regions to obtain the names of children who will largely benefit. These children go Christmas shopping with the Troopers, picking out items they need and want. This event also allows the children to interact with law enforcement in a positive way, letting them know there is always someone out there if they need help or just to talk to someone. The children, and the Troopers, really enjoy this event, as it is one of the simple joys of the Christmas season.
